About Me

Based in South Africa, I create contemporary paintings inspired by nature, wildlife and the human form. My work combines fine detail with atmosphere and emotion, exploring the character and quiet beauty of my subjects through watercolour, oils and mixed media.

Art has always been a part of who I am. My creative journey began with a love of drawing and painting and later led me to study Graphic Design and Interior Design. Although I am largely self-taught as a painter, those disciplines continue to influence the way I see colour, composition, texture and space.I don’t like being confined to one subject. Wildlife has become an important part of my work, particularly since returning to South Africa, but I am equally drawn to people, portraits, landscapes and the unexpected moments that spark an idea. For me, painting is about more than reproducing what I see. It is about capturing something of its character, atmosphere and emotion. My work continues to evolve with me, and I enjoy allowing that exploration to take me in different directions.
